Gresley A4 at Glasgow's Buchanan Street station in February 1964 having arrived with the 7.10am 3 hour express from Aberdeen.
She was one of the stud of A4s which ended their days on these accelerated services introduced in 1962 and steam worked against all the odds. At one time she was fitted with a steam operated bell fitted in front of the chimney which was presented by the Canadian Pacific Railway. This was removed when a double chimney was fitted.
I think she is preserved in Canada but not too definite on that.
