Not much work for the young driver here then! Great to see a younger generation taking and interest. I worked the diesel 'steam' engine at Butlins in Ayr several years ago. One derailment in 6 months , this was because some little lads had put small stones amid the points for a laugh , oops! , I missed them upon my daily. inspections

The model represents an Adams Class B4 dock tank 0-4-0T, no. 98 having been named "Cherbourg". The original locomotive was built in November 1983 by the LSWR and passed into Southern Railway ownership on Grouping in 1923. No. 98 was withdrawn from use in February 1949, and probably never carried the number 30098 assigned by British Railways.
