Undated text transcribed (with slight editing) from an information board inside the locomotive shed, photographed on 4 October 2015:” “. . . These mixed traffic 2-6-2 locomotives were designed in 1949 for operation on secondary routes at running speeds of 50 mph between stations. They have been synonymous with Wolsztyn since 1977, with 17 on shed here in 1988. Ol49-69 has been named ‘Bob Wyatt’ in memory oif a founder member of the Wolsztyn Experience who died in 1999. This naming helped to bring in sufficient donations to subsidise the locomotive’s major overhaul in 2001. It completed 159 days in service during 2000, and travelled over 23,000 miles in that year.”
