Description

Class Tx26 locomotive photographed at the Wenecja (Venice) Narrow Gauge Museum in Poland.
Built in 1926 in Chrzanow, Poland by Fabryka Lokomotyw w Polsce SA for PKP (Polish State Railways). Works no. 149. Previously no. 99 1588. This information was taken from the Locomotive Club of Great Britain booklet listing Polish preserved locomotives and railcars.
See also picture 27522, showing the right side. However the manufacturer’s plate seen from this side of the locomotive (covering what appears to be another plate) refers to “Pierwsza Fabryka Lokomotyw w Polsce SpA Chrzanow, No. 185 1928”. My guess is that there could have been repairs or even a rebuild 2 years after its original construction.
