On the morning of 1 October 2015, our rail enthusiast group were treated to a ride on the Żnińska Kolej Powiatowa, a 600 mm narrow gauge railway from Żnin via Wenecja and Biskupin to Gasowa.
Along the way we passed another train, full of schoolchildren, hauled by this diesel-electric class Lyd2. It was built for PKP (Polish State Railways) in the 23 August Works, Bucharest, Romania in 1981. Works no. 24368.
In Polish notation, L = Locomotive, y = three axles, d = diesel powered, 2 = hydraulic transmission
