Photographed in the centre of Warsaw, Poland, on 28 September 2015. Built by Konstal in their Chorzow factory, Poland, this is a type 105Na. They were the most common type of trams in Poland when this picture was taken. They were manufactured between 1979 and 1992. Alstom acquired the Konstal company in 1997 so it now has the name Alstom Konstal..
During initial acceleration, the four motors are connected in series, whilst at higher speeds, two groups of motors are connected in parallel. This reduces the energy consumption by 12%.
