Built in 1918 (Works No 3128) this diminutive locomotive was delivered to the National Smelting Company's refinery at Avonmouth near Bristol, England. It was a standard 'Wren' with an open cab and full height chimney.
It was bought by a Canadian collector and was restored and the boiler overhauled in the workshops at Statfold Barn Railway (SBR) and then shipped back to Canada.
Unfortunately the Canadian certification bodies were unwilling to accept the hundred year old boiler design without major changes which would have altered the historical character and appearance of the loco.
Unable to steam 3128 in Canada the owner sadly decided to offer it for sale to Statfold and so it returned to England permanently in August 2016.
It was seen on the garden track at the SBR, Staffordshire, England in September 2016.
