Description

Paddy was newly built by Alan Keef Ltd and is a vertical-boilered design based around an existing steam piling engine.
This type of engine was used to provide transport for goods and materials to build quays, breakwaters or dams.
It would have ran on a temporary track laid along the top of the structure being built.
It was photographed on the narrow gauge loop line at the Statfold Barn Railway, Staffordshire, England in March 2010.
