With the Class P's either away from the line or preparing to depart for a gala weekends, Captain Baxter was used as the Sheffield Park station pilot on 11th May 2014.

The captioning went wrong with this one when I was submitting it. Its actually the ex SECR Class C 592 nearest the camera and the GWR 2-6-2 L150 which is in London Transport livery at the present time. It just had to be done in black and white with the backlighting from the depot windows. Down to me, nothing to do with Marcel, John or Peter.

It looks great in black & white, Steve. I once took a landscape photo on Lake Garda in sepia and it was evocative of the early 20th century.
