355 is a Feltham tram so named because they were manufactured by the Union Construction Company in Feltham. 100 were built in total, 54 for Metropolitan Electric Tramways and 46 for London United Tramways. They started to enter service in 1931. It has had a number of guises - it was originally 355 with the Metropolitan Electric Tramways then became London Transport 2099 was sold to Leeds in 1949 where it was eventually renumbered 501 in 1950. It has been restored to the original fleet number of 355 though it spent a much longer time in it's other two guises.
