DSB class ME departing Copenhagen Central Station. Delivered in the 80's, it primarily hauled mainline trains on Sjà¦lland (Zealand). When long distance trains slowly became hauled by DMUs, these locomotives were handed over to regional services, using old Bn-wagons (derived from German 'Silberlinge'), see pic 18139. Today, all wagons are bi-level coaches leased and purchased from Germany.
DSB have 34 in operation. they have 3300 bhp and has a maximum design velocity of 175 kph (110 mph), but are limited to 160 kph (100 mph).
