43106 never had a double chimney, she was fitted with a single chimney from new in april 1951, in her time she was shedded at South Lynn (31D) until Jan 1960, Woodford Halse (38E/1G) and she was withdrawn from Lostock Hall (24C/10D) in June 1968, following a period in store she was saved for use on the SEVERN VALLEY RAILWAY where she still is today, it is believed that 43106 has NEVER vistited another line in preservation but has been on the manline in the 80's
43106 stands on shed at Bridgnorth for the first time in many years, prior to this she had spent time at Arley Station and a further period in store at Highley, where she deteriorated into possibly the worst condition of any preserved loco, on this day i received a call to say 43106 was being moved ready for overhaul, The Boiler was lifted in February 2000, i went on the sunday to photograph the event, they did it the day before
